We are pleased to share the 10th edition of “The Weight of America’s Boards,” JamesDruryPartners’ annual, independent governance study that evaluates the governance capacity of America’s largest public company boards. First published in 2011, this groundbreaking study was created to address a fundamental gap in corporate governance discourse.
Each year, our study analyzes hundreds of public company boards, representing the 500 largest U.S. corporations by revenue and 500 largest by market capitalization. In this year’s report, 654 boards and 6,264 board director seats were analyzed. This year’s study examines the most consequential determinant of effective governance: the quality, depth, and relevance of business experience present in the boardroom.
